Celebrity Chef Todd English Enters the Dining Scene at CityPlace

A few weeks ago, we spotted Todd English at the 1-year Anniversary Party of Taverna Opa and the following night he was spotted at Wall at The W in Miami Beach. What had brought him to South Florida? The rumor mill was going strong and now we know. He has paired up with Lirim Jacobi of City Pizza, Wild Ginger, Opus 5 and Taverna Opa and together they will be opening a Figs Restaurant in CityPlace. While there is currently a Figs Restaurant at the Gardens Mall, you can never get too much of their Asparagus Frites or their Fig and Prosciutto pizza, and English says he will be taking an active role in this restaurant so expect to see much more of him. It is scheduled to open up in mid-November.
