Guess Who Showed Up to Taverna Opa Last Night
Last night was Day 1 of Taverna Opa‘s 1-year anniversary party – togas, an ice luge, belly dancers, lamb and wine tastings, a Tarot card reader – you bet I was going to be there. And to think, the party will continue for the next 2 days, though not quite on the same level.
Owner, Lirim Jacobi showed up with an unannounced guest last night by the name of Todd English – a welcome surprise for all of us foodies floating around the party. I’ve been seeing more and more of Todd English in South Florida lately. With two restaurants already down here (da Campo Osteria in Fort Lauderdale and Figs in Palm Beach Gardens) and a few rumors floating around, I’m sure I will be hearing more about him in the upcoming weeks.
