Pink & White Cookies from Sweet Sally's
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many local eateries are doing their part to help raise awareness and funds for this worthy cause. Here’s a list of who is participating and what they are doing to help.
- Buddha Sky Bar (217 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach) launched a pink menu to honor Breast Cancer Awareness. Whenever you purchase the following menu items during the month of October, Buddha Sky Bar will donate $1 to the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® — Spicy Tuna Roll ($12); Har Gau Dim Sum $12 (Shrimp, corn and dumpling made with beets for the color); Strawberry Mochi Dessert $12; Pomegranate Punch $12 (Pomegranate vodka, Pama Liqueur, Cointreau, cranberry and pineapple juice and a squeeze of lemon, garnished with a star fruit); or the Dessert Martini $12 (Qreme strawberry liqueur, muddled strawberries, St. Germain and Pama Liqueur, garnished with a strawberry)
- RA Sushi will donate 100% of the profits from the sale of the ONEHOPE Wine & Pink Roll Combination to the National Breast Cancer Foundation® (NBCF) during the month of October. This combo, available for $15, includes a glass of ONEHOPE California Chardonnay and a Pink Roll — a combination of shrimp, kani kama crab mix and sriracha combined with lettuce, avocado and cucumber wrapped in pink soy paper and served with a pink ribbon of strawberry sauce.
- SoLita (25 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach) is hosting a wear pink and drink for Charity event at the restaurant on Thursday, October 13th from 6-9 pm. Your $20 donation will include 1 complimentary cocktail, appetizers and a pink goody bag. Proceeds will go benefit Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation’s Go Pink Challenge. There will be live entertainment starting at 9:00 pm. For reservations, contact Patricia.
- Make your way to New York Prime in Boca on Tuesday, October 18th for the PageOne Passion Victory in Pink Party and help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure Party. For $25, you will enjoy a complimentary glass of pink Champagne, and enjoy appetizers. Your donation will also include a Susan G. Komen pin and golf tee. Two signature pink cocktails will be available for $5 each with proceeds going to the foundation.
- Sweet Sally’s Bakeshop has introduced two new items for the month of October and portion of the proceeds from the sales will go to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. These items are Pink and White cookies (just like the famous Black & White Cookies) and Layers of Love (a pink rainbow cake).
