Lulu is a welcome addition to the Grove, and we were thrilled that they agreed to host a Dine Happy Hour. Despite the heavy rain, our group of devoted followers made their way out to join us in good cheer to check out this new hangout.

Lulu is conveniently located on the corner of Commodore Plaza and Main St., and offers a menu of simple, but sophisticated dishes focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients. They offer a lengthy list of wines by the glass, small plates, salads and main entrees. We were able to try a variety of their tapas during their event including the Fried Green Tomatoes (featured above), Goat Cheese Croquettes and Crispy [Potato] Wedges.

While the restaurant became a bit cozy as the night went on, it didn’t seem to bother anyone. Everyone was in good spirits — a glass of wine will do that to you — and was anxious to return. As always, we took some photos at the event and you can find them all online.
Lulu is located at 3105 Commodore Plaza in Coconut Grove. 305-447-LULU

Guests gathered at Wild Olives Cafe by Todd English for happy hour last Wednesday where the ambiance is comtemporary and inviting. Dine Magazine members chatted away just inside of the decorative and open designed cafe while enjoying their wine of choice and tasting Margherita and Pepperoni flat breads. Fig & Procuitto flat bread was also served and a sweet delight for guests to enjoy. Asparagus Frites and a green salad gave a well-balanced feel to our hors d’oeuvres sampling.

Wild Olives Cafe is located at 477 S Rosemary Ave in CityPlace. Don’t forget to take a look at some of the photos from our event.
