Dine Magazine Visits Fratelli Lyon and Sunset Grill

While Dine has been hosting many food and wine events, we’ve made many friends along the way — one being our friends at IEEM (the same people behind Vinitaly). This week, we decided to pair up with them to host a kick-off party for Simply Italian at Fratelli Lyon.

Simply Italian starts next week (November 20-29) and it is a celebration of the food and wine of Italy. Guests can dine at participating restaurants and in doing so, will receive a chance to win a trip to Italy and other Italian-related products.

For our party, guests arrived at this Design District culinary destination for plenty of Italian treats – a glass of Italian wine or Prosecco (Domodimonti Sangiovese or Zonin Prosecco), mini pizzas, Prosciutto Burrata Crostini and Semolina Crisps. One lucky guest even went home with 2 tickets to Fratelli Lyon’s fabulous Wednesday night Passport through Italy wine seminar where he will taste his way through the wine regions of Italy. Be sure to check out the rest of our photos from the event.

On Wednesday, our wine & dine club gathered at Sunset Grill in Northwood Village. This eclectic, gourmet grill offers a fun and trendy atmosphere for locals and visitors to gather in.

Owners Terry Marince and Matt Reber made sure our group had a delightful experience and presented us with plenty of gourmet delights – freshly made hummus, spring rolls, Quiche Lorraine and Thai meatballs. The combination of Coastal Vines wine and the delicious hors d’oeuvres tantalized our taste buds, as we discovered a new favorite dining destination. As always, we snapped some photos of this fun-filled event.

Kick-Off Party for Simply Italian at Fratelli Lyon

Get ready to be transported to Italy, as we host a kick-off party for Simply Italian at Fratelli Lyon. Located in the Design District, Fratelli Lyon comes to us from Ken Lyon and offers clean and simple Italian cuisine in a stylish atmosphere. In addition to offering authentic regional Italian cuisine, we like Fratelli Lyon even more because they actively participate in the slow food movement, emphasize local food traditions and source artisanal and environmentally sound products.

Simply Italian is a festival in Miami from November 20-29 celebrating the food and wine of Italy, brought to you by the same people behind VinItaly.  Participating restaurants will offer a special menu during this week. Guests who dine at these restaurants will be able to enjoy a week of special offers, degustation of Italian food & wine and a chance to win an all-inclusive trip to Italy.

Please bring cash to pay for your additional drinks. There is not an ATM nearby and credit cards will only be accepted inside the restaurant (meaning a longer wait time). Our party will be set up outside the main restaurant.
