DINE Magazine stopped at The News Lounge and McCormick & Schmick’s
This week we discovered The News Lounge. This relaxed, indoor/outdoor lounge owned by the Graspa Group was the ideal setting for our group. We enjoyed the brisk weather, sipped on wine and enjoyed a selection of sumptuous hors d’oeuvres like the puff pastry pizza, hummus and pita and a variety of crostinis while we lounged on the plush chairs. On Wednesday, we headed out to the brand new McCormick & Schmick’s located in CityPlace. Open for only a few days prior to our event, our group was excited to check it out — and found ourselves wanting to try everything. We were greeted with a glass of Mohua wine — the Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Noir.
Plates of sushi, bruschetta, egg rolls and more made the way to our group’s table and were quickly eaten up — and thoroughly enjoyed. Their seafood is fresh (flown in twice daily) and the happy hour deals are fabulous (starting at $1.95), so we will be back.
