Recognized as one of America’s top five independent steak houses, Shula’s at the Alexander Hotel is a popular oceanfront restaurant with a stunning view of the Atlantic. Themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins’ “Perfect Season,” the restaurant features football memorabilia along with hand painted menus on an official NFL game football. Guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and a selection of hors d’oeuvres.

Time: 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Where: Shula’s Steakhouse at The Alexander Hotel, 5225 Collins Ave in Miami Beach

Cost: $10 in advance, $15 at the door

Located at The Resort at Singer Island, Solu Restaurant serves up dynamite Asian-infused Caribbean food in a gorgeous oceanfront setting. Chef Carlos Jorge has created a seasonal menu emphasizing seafood and clean, fresh ingredients. The restaurant is casual with a refined elegance.

We have paired up with the AdFed to host a spectacular wine tasting event at Trina Restaurant and Lounge in Fort Lauderdale. Known for their beautiful view of the Atlantic and fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, this will be an event to remember. Come check out their new Chef de Cuisine, Farid Oualidi.

When: Thursday, July 16

trinaWe have paired up with the AdFed to host a spectacular wine tasting event at Trina Restaurant and Lounge in Fort Lauderdale. Known for their beautiful view of the Atlantic and fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, this will be an event to remember.

When: Thursday, July 16

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Where: Trina Restaurant & Lounge, 601 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

Cost: $20 ($15 for members)

Dine Magazine’s Cocktail Competition at 3030 Ocean was a Great Success



For those of you who missed our cocktail competition at 3030 Ocean, you missed a fabulous night out. Along with swank martini glasses, scrumptious food prepared by the chefs at 3030 Ocean and delicious Partida cocktails, we also raised enough money for Field of Food and Volunteer Broward to feed over 4500 hungry people in Broward County. Bartenders from 3030 Ocean, Himmarshee Bar and Grill, Blue Martini and Trina Restaurant competed to win the best in show. In the end, Bill from Himmarshee Bar & Grill came out the winner with his Cucumber Watermelon Martini (and I must add that it was quite delicious). For those of you who missed the event, or for those of you who would like to savor his martini one more time, here is a copy of the winning recipe:

Cucumber Watermelon Martini

2 oz Partida Blanco
2 oz fresh watermelon
1 oz fresh skinless cucumber
1 oz sweet & sour
.75 oz simple syrup

Muddle ice, cucumber & watermelon; add remaining ingredients, shake and strain into martini glass; garnish with watermelon cube and cucumber spear.

1.5 oz. Blood Orange Puree
0.5 oz. Simple Syrup

2 Passion Fruits
6 cubes Mango
¾ oz Agave Nectar
1 oz Triple Sec
2 oz Partida Reposado
1 Lime Wedge
